Eugin has been awarded at the SAP Quality Awards 2020 in the Business Transformation category. The company received the award for Integra, a project that has fuelled the company’s digital transformation and is a trailblazing and innovation in the fertility field.
Integra encompasses the entire chain of business processes in Eugin, from the back office, via the clinical and medical areas, to patient relations and care. Its introduction has given a strong boost to optimising the Group’s procedures, fostering integration between the clinics and encouraging a better experience for patients and employees alike.
In addition to being a powerful management tool, the synergies stemming from this strategy have meant that Integra has taken up the mantle of the largest fertility analysis platform to date: “The development of the platform encourages structured information to be gathered at any time during the process with the patient and from any possible area, meaning all the data handled are interconnected”, says David Gràcia, Eugin’s CIO.
Even today, the most common way to process medical information is often through the clinical text, a method that hampers the analysis and use of the data. “Integra will also be a cornerstone for our scientific research programme and will help our professionals through data management with automatic learning algorithms”, emphasizes Gràcia.
A team of 60 professionals has taken part in its development
“For three years now, the Eugin Group has been engaged in a process of growth with the aim of consolidating its world leadership in fertility services. This ambitious growth plan, mainly through acquisitions, has involved a blend of cultures, processes and systems. Integra was launched to respond to this challenge, fostering the digital transformation and as the backbone and integrator of the group, as an all-encompassing platform for present and future innovation”, said David Gràcia.
The system is already in place at the group’s clinics in Spain and is being implemented at the other 32 locations worldwide. Integra’s creation and development has been carried out within 18 months, partnered by IBM and with the help of a team of around 60 professionals.
During the award ceremony, Gràcia thanked the Integra project on behalf of the Eugin group, as well as “the work of the entire Eugin team who participated in the project, for making it a reality”. “This award belongs to each team member”, he said, “and is an acknowledgment of a vision we had and the courage to carry it out”.
About the SAP Quality Awards
Each year the SAP Quality Awards acknowledge the best project initiatives developed by customers of SAP, an enterprise application software company. The panel of judges, comprising internal and external SAP experts, analyses and assesses the different projects in order to choose those that have stood out for the degree of excellence in the deployment and use of this technology.
The 2020 edition has four categories: Business Transformation, Fast Delivery, Customer Experience and Innovation. Three awards, Gold, Silver and Bronze, are given in each category, and the companies awarded with the Gold prize go on to compete in the SAP Quality Awards EMEA.
