Success rates

Certified success rates in Assisted Reproduction treatments

Check that they are certified

As with any other important decision, you should ensure that the information you receive has been verified.

At Eugin Clinic we audit our results through an independent organisation, and they are a true reflection of the pregnancies of the thousands of patients who have undergone treatment at our centre.

What are the success rates at Eugin?

Each kind of fertility treatment offers different chances of success. Except in the case of egg donation, the age of the patient is a determining factor, as from the age of 35, the reproductive potential of a woman’s eggs decreases rapidly.

It is important to know that Eugin we are convinced that if there is a possibility of pregnancy – however small it may be – every patient has the right to know, and to make their own decision.

In Vitro Fertilisation

At Eugin, most In Vitro Fertilisation treatments (IVF) are performed using the ICSI technique, which substantially improves your fertilisation rate.

In Vitro Fertilisation using donor eggs

In egg donation, and having had three complete cycles using an embryo at the blastocyst stage, there is a cumulative probability of pregnancy of 98%.

The probability of getting pregnant increases with the number of transfers, reaching its highest when all available transfers in three consecutive attempts or cycles have been carried out.

In Vitro Fertilisation using one’s own eggs

Eggs naturally lose their reproductive capacity as part of an irreversible process that tends to intensify after the age of 35.

Artificial Insemination

Artificial Insemination is the least complex treatment, and is usually performed up to the age of 40. This treatment offers optimal rates until the third or fourth attempt.

DAI: Artificial Insemination using donor sperm

Artificial insemination by donor sperm is carried out with a sample from an anonymous donor who has been selected and has undergone a comprehensive study. It is a relatively uncomplicated technique and provides a cumulative rate according to age.

Multiple pregnancies

Multiple pregnancies can be cause for joy. However, from a purely medical point of view, we cannot recommend them. It is for this reason that Spanish Law limits the transfer to a maximum of 3 embryos, a figure which Eugin only puts into practice in very particular cases.

How success rates are calculated

This data refers to the positive result of the hormone Beta hCG, measured from day 14 of the transfer: this is the first sign of a pregnancy.

It is the first sign, and the best reflection of the treatment outcome: from that moment on, nature will take its course, as in any other pregnancy, whatever the origin may have been.
