Is it the best treatment for you?
It is the ideal technique when we don’t have enough sperm for an Artificial Insemination, or when the fallopian tubes are blocked or damaged. In this case, it is the only option for getting pregnant. We also recommend it if we have made several attempts at Artificial Insemination and have not succeeded.
Treatment
The usual assisted reproduction technique with own eggs is In Vitro Fertilization (IVF). We fertilize an egg with a sperm outside the uterus, which gives a certified likelihood of pregnancy of up to 71% in three full treatment attempts

Phase 1
We control and stimulate the ovaries
We prepare your ovaries by administering hormones so that they are more likely to succeed as it will enable them to recruit more eggs than during a natural cycle. We control the development of the cycle by means of ultrasound scans, until checking that both the number and size of the follicles is suitable.
Phase 2
We extract the eggs and carry out the In Vitro Fertilization
Through the puncture and aspiration of the follicles, we retrieve the eggs under deep sedation. We keep them in cultivation for a few hours. We isolate the motile sperm.
Phase 3
We transfer the embryos
After fertilization, between the second and fifth day we make the transfer. We select the best quality pre-embryos and insert them into a catheter and place them in the uterus. No anaesthesia is needed.
Phase 4
We freeze the non-transferred pre-embryos
We cryopreserve the non-transferred pre-embryos by vitrification and they are stored in liquid nitrogen in the embryo bank. They can be used in subsequent cycles if a pregnancy is not achieved on the first attempt or if, after a success, you decide to go for a second baby.
