Fulfil your dream of becoming a mother thanks to IVF with donor eggs
We fertilize a donor’s eggs with your partner’s sperm. Once fertilized, the egg becomes a pre-embryo and is transferred to the uterus to continue its development. You can choose between anonymous donation in Spain or non-anonymous donation in Portugal.
How do we do it in EUGIN?
You will have a team of professionals around the clock for your own peace of mind. They will share your wish and help you fulfil your dream of being a mother.

In Vitro Fertilisation using donor eggs
In egg donation, and having had three complete cycles using an embryo at the blastocyst stage, there is a cumulative probability of pregnancy of 98%.
The probability of getting pregnant increases with the number of transfers, reaching its highest when all available transfers in three consecutive attempts or cycles have been carried out.
Probability of pregnancy → ● 1st cycle ● 2nd cycle ● 3rd cycle
Probability of pregnancy →
● 1st cycle
● 2nd cycle
● 3rd cycle
Cumulative rate 2nd and 3rd cycle: estimated probability of pregnancy that would be obtained upon carrying out 3 consecutive cycles. A cycle being regarded as the transfer of all the embryos generated.
Positive BETA – hCG test result (> 10 IU/L) 14 days after the embryo transfer.

Phases
We will fertilize a donor’s egg and your partner’s sperm outside the uterus. This gives a certified probability of pregnancy of as high as 98% in three full treatment attempts.
Phase 1
Selection of the donor
We will select the donor using complementary tests in order to rule out important pathologies. We will try to achieve the greatest possible similarity between the physical characteristics (phenotypes) of the donor and yours.
Phase 2
We control and stimulate the ovaries
Donors should undergo an ovarian stimulation treatment for 15 days. We will administer subcutaneous hormone injections. Follow-up will be carried out through ultrasound and blood tests. We will extract the eggs by means of a puncture performed under sedation.
Phase 3
We transfer the embryos
We will do the in vitro fertilization and the embryo transfer. We extract the eggs from the donor, then cultivate them for hours and isolate the sperm. Pre-embryos are inserted into a catheter and placed in the uterus. No anaesthesia is necessary.
Phase 4
We freeze the non-transferred pre-embryos
We cryopreserve the non-transferred pre-embryos by vitrification and they are stored in liquid nitrogen in the embryo bank. They can be used in subsequent cycles if a pregnancy is not achieved on the first attempt or if, after a success, you decide to go for a second baby.

Without waiting lists
At Eugin you won’t have to wait. The treatment will start when you are ready. We have a versatile donation programme that adapts to your needs.
We provide all the necessary facilities
To confirm your diagnosis, your doctor is likely to request some test results. Don’t worry; we’ll take care of it. If you already have the tests, there is no problem in bringing the results.
Technology and safety
We only apply state-of-the-art techniques and technology, always backed by science, trying to ensure the utmost safety in order to obtain the best results, taking care of the health of both the mother and the baby.
Transfer at blastocyst stage
Depending on the biological conditions of your case, you may benefit from a blastocyst transfer. This will increase the pregnancy rate per transferred embryo and reduce the twin pregnancy rate, favouring the transfer of a single embryo and lowering the chances of complications during pregnancy.
Physical and genetic matching
Eugin has centers in Barcelona, Madrid, and Coimbra, three cosmopolitan and international cities that have inhabitants of all nationalities. This greatly facilitates the matching process with a donor with a physical resemblance to the recipient woman. In addition, Eugin was the first European clinic that systematically introduced genetic matching in its donor allocation process. By doing so, we reduce the risk of serious genetic diseases in the newborn, by avoiding the coincidence of the same mutation in the egg donor and in the male partner, or sperm donor, who is taking part in the process.
Testimonials
Here you can read experiences of other people who have undergone IVF with donor eggs and sperm from their partner, and have fulfilled their dream thanks to this treatment.
“After two attempts with my own eggs, Eugin advised us to do IVF with donor eggs, so we followed their advice. Last week I had my first ultrasound. We still don’t know if it’ll be a boy or a girl, but what we do know is that, thanks to Eugin, it’ll be our baby”.
“When we arrived at Eugin, we knew that my ovaries weren’t in good shape. We treated it as a last attempt, which we didn’t even know if it was possible. And it sure was! It’s been 3 years since Raúl came into our lives. The last attempt is always the one that works!”.
